About SHARLOU

Sharlou is one of the most exciting sailing yachts available for charter. Sharlou was designed and built by the award winning and pedigree combination of Tripp Design and Vitters Shipyard and launched in 2001.  This 42.6m carbon fibre superyacht promises luxurious comfort with thrilling sailing performance.

Sharlou is particularly well suited to family charters or groups with children.  Her versatile cabin configuration allows for up to 8 guests to be accommodated across five cabins, comprising a master suite, a VIP double, a guest cabin that can be converted between a double or twin setup, and a three berth cabin with fixed bunks, perfect for children.  In this cabin, fibre optic stars glow overhead, reflecting the night sky of either the northern or southern hemisphere and via the bathroom, this cabin is connected to a single berth cabin, ideal for a children's nanny or family aide.

Careful consideration has been given to the flow of space aboard Sharlou.  The yacht's interior is entered through the light and spacious upper salon, where a navigation desk is positioned to aft and there's a bar forward, with views over the lower salon, intended as a TV snug, and the dining area.
Unusually, the galley and dining are open plan with a sliding door that can be deployed to separate these areas if desired.

Sharlou's interior design utilises a largely neutral colour palette that is homely and inviting, with lined oak panelling throughout.  Her modern décor features cherry wood furniture and stylish, comfortable leather seating.
On deck, and protected behind the superstructure, is a fantastic exterior space featuring a large cockpit, the helm stations, and cushioned sun beds.
A section of the aft cockpit can be flooded, transforming it into a paddling pool for children when it's not safe to swim in the ocean, and a convertible dodger and bimini are stowed within the superstructure, providing shade when needed.

Sharlou carries an enviable selection of water toys, including Seabobs, stand-up paddleboards and kayaks, scuba diving equipment, and even a sailing dinghy, for perfecting your skills before putting them to test on Sharlou.

Sharlou has a friendly and extremely capable crew of six, and the yacht is served by both a Zodiak tender and a 52ft Windy SR52 chase boat, able to achieve an impressive 40 knots and ensuring dry, speedy transfers from Sharlou to the shore.
Easily achieving 17 to 20 knots under sail, Sharlou is a performance-orientated globetrotter guaranteed to deliver the most thrilling sailing charter possible.
