Ben Williams is a Charter Manager with a strong operational foundation built through several years of hands-on experience aboard luxury yachts. Having progressed through the industry as a professional deckhand, he brings an in-depth understanding of yacht operations, guest expectations, and charter execution, allowing him to deliver highly personalized and seamless charter experiences.

Background

Originally from South Africa, Ben holds a degree in Business Management and an Honours degree in Marketing Management from the University of Pretoria. His academic background, combined with a passion for hospitality, travel, and client service, has shaped his dynamic and commercially minded approach to the yachting industry.

Experience

With nearly four years of experience in yachting, Ben built his career working aboard 50–60m charter yachts across the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and U.S. East Coast. Starting as a deckhand and progressing to Lead Deckhand, he gained extensive operational expertise in charter programs, owner trips, and high-volume guest operations. His experience includes an Atlantic crossing and exposure to a wide range of yacht operations, giving him valuable insight into the coordination, precision, and service standards required to deliver exceptional charters. Ben holds a Yachtmaster license, watersports instructor qualification, and advanced scuba certification, further reinforcing his practical knowledge of the industry. Prior to yachting, he worked in high-end hospitality, digital marketing, and technology sales in London within fintech and data technology sectors. Fluent in English with basic French, Ben combines operational expertise with strong interpersonal and commercial skills, bringing a well-rounded and client-focused perspective to charter management.
