About LAMIMA

Lamima is a beautiful two-masted Indonesian Phinisi and the world’s largest wooden sailing yacht for charter. Skilfully constructed by Sulawesi craftsmen in 2012, Lamima is the only Phinisi built to RINA safety standards. Conceived with an authentic charter experience in mind, the yacht’s extensive cruising grounds make encounters with hammerhead sharks, sea turtles and vibrant coral reefs an almost daily occurrence.

Lamima’s open-plan and contemporary interior designed by Marcelo Penna is both light and airy. The generous guest areas draw on cultural influences within the artwork, furniture and fittings that are unique to the southeast Asian waters where Lamima sails. This extends to the highly talented and professional all-Indonesian crew of 20, including two chefs who serve local delicacies alongside European signature dishes and a talented cocktail mixologist.

The yacht’s seven ensuite guest cabins include a main deck master suite with a private terrace forward. There are ample exterior deck areas for lounging with clear views of the dramatic Indonesian landscape, and outdoor dining enjoyed under the cooling shade of a bimini. When the nights draw in, the yacht’s stunning outdoor cinema brings starlit movie magic.

For guests who like to unwind on charter by indulging in on-deck treatments, Lamima’s entire stern area transforms into a wellness retreat. Relaxation at the hands of two Balinese masseuses and qualified spa therapists is paired with sprawling sea views and the option of a bespoke three-to-five-day wellness programme, complemented by a nutritional plan tailored to guests’ needs.

Additional crew services include a yoga teacher, an expert tour guide whose deep understanding of the local culture and biodiversity injects colourful insight into every charter itinerary, and two qualified dive masters who guide guests on memorable underwater adventures from Lamima’s on-board PADI dive centre. A regularly updated toy chest, including a jet surfboard, kayaks, jet skis and paddle boards, adds the final touch to a golden charter package.
