Madagascar Yacht Charter

Luxury Yacht Charter Destination

Located in the Indian Ocean, 250 miles off the east coast of Africa, the sensational Madagascar boasts 5,000km of coastline with unspoiled crystalline waters, perfect for exploring on a yacht charter, with many great spots for scuba diving and snorkelling. The island’s diversity is one of its biggest attractions with contrasting environments of rich rainforest vegetation and beautiful beaches offering much to explore. There are coral reefs to peek at, sandy shores to laze on, forests that slither and jump with wildlife and fascinating tribal cultures to meet.

The climate is dominated by the south-eastern trade winds that originate in the Indian Ocean. Madagascar has two seasons - a hot, rainy season from November to April; and a cooler, dry season from May to October.

Whilst in the region, visit some of the island’s national parks and nature reserves, such as Andasibe-Mantadia, where rare orchids and the giant Parson’s chameleon can be found. Its hiking trails weave through dense forest, past lakes and the Sacred Waterfall, a holy destination for the island’s ancient inhabitants.

Madagascar is also home to some cheeky lemurs, which are characterful ring-tailed monkeys native to Madagascar and will run to greet you as soon as you step ashore on the island of Nosy Iranja off Madagascar’s northern tip, which is also a hotspot for sea turtles who clamber up the beaches to lay their eggs by moonlight.

With all these riches, Madagascar promises you a spectacular sailing experience.
