About MARYBELLE

A true "coup de coeur" from the 1970s – the 40m Cetacea is a classic motor yacht built by Feadship. Her exterior exudes style and elegance with her timeless design, complemented by a luxurious interior designed by Robin Rose & Associates.

Cetacea has just completed a multi-month yard period, completed June 2023. The work included a rebuild of the main engines, reconditioning of the entire driveline, a full electrical assessment, a new bilge manifold and piping for the fuel manifold, an overhaul of the stabilizers, and installation of a new IMO approved Sewage Treatment System. New antifouling was applied to the hull after a full strip down to bare metal and hull thickness analysis. Her exterior paint was reconditioned, the entertainment systems received an upgrade and integration of the Starlink Maritime system.

Her Dutch pedigree and quality continue to make Cetacea one of the most sought-after Feadships in the past 50 years. Her current owner is the most recent Commodore of the New York Yacht Club, and in that cherished role, Cetacea has been at the head of the fleet - displaying an unparalleled level of elegance, class, and seaworthiness.

Cetacea’s layout and functionality are two of her greatest features. She can accommodate nine guests across four suites, all located on the lower deck. The full-beam owner’s stateroom benefits from a centreline king-sized bed, ample closet and storage space, with a steam shower en suite.

An incredibly spacious saloon is located towards the stern of the yacht, and there is a charming formal dining room located forward on the main deck. The interior has a classic look, with traditional teak wood panelling and comfortable, deep-cushioned furnitures.

Cetacea’s flybridge has been equipped with a custom hardtop that allows the space to be fully enclosed and climate-controlled, making the deck a versatile space for enjoyment in all climates.

Some of Cetacea’s notable expeditions include a multi-year circumnavigation of the globe from 1996 to 2000, as well as a voyage to New Zealand, through the Pacific and back to the United States in 2014 to 2016.

The steel-hulled Cetacea has an incredible range and a unique design that provides strength and seaworthiness while turning every head in the harbour. The yacht has fuel-efficient CAT diesel engines, a top speed of 12 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots.

Cetacea is arguably one of the finest Feadship yachts ever built, and her current availability presents an opportunity to enjoy a proven world-cruising yacht that has voyaged around the globe. She is offered for sale in excellent condition and has been an incredibly popular charter vessel, presenting her new owner with commercial possibilities as well as private cruising.
