Flying Dutchman Shipyard delivers proven diesel-electric expertise from its Eco series lineage. Kenshō is the flagship 75m hull in this sustainable platform, integrating advanced propulsion for class-leading efficiency. This project advances yachting with a 2,850kW variable-speed generator bank producing 3.5MW to drive Danfoss permanent-magnet motors on Veth azimuth thrusters, eliminating shaft lines for reduced noise and vibration. Commissioned to prioritize environmental performance, it optimizes energy via automatic generator switching for hotel and 13-knot propulsion loads. The engineering platform positions machinery on the tank deck, maximizing guest volume, while a class-approved battery room enables future silent, emission-free operation. Key decisions include full-beam owner suites and elevator access across decks, structured around 2.7m head heights and panoramic upper saloon glazing.
