Day 1

The North Island is home to Auckland, aka 'City of Sails', and this is where you will find fine restaurants and shops, with a Polynesian influence and diverse style. For a spectacular view over the city, head for the Sky Tower - the tallest freestanding structure in the southern hemisphere.

Auckland to Waiheke island

Day 2

Cruise through the Tamaki Strait to Waiheke Island. Anchor in Man O'War Bay, a perfect anchorage from which to view Stony Batter's unusual rock formations. If you're going ashore, head to the vineyards, famous for Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.

Waiheke island to Coromandel Peninsula

Day 3

Cruise through the Firth of Thames and anchor off the Coromandel Peninsula. Discover secluded beaches surrounded by native bush. Whilst here, you may also want to visit the Whenuakura Wildlife Sanctuary, known as 'Donut Island', and we can ensure you see it at its finest with a certified guide.

Coromandel Peninsula to Great Barrier Island

Day 4

A couple of hours cruise north is Great Barrier Island in the Hauraki Gulf. Explore the vast sand dunes and wild vegetation on the island or take a kayak out to Typhena and watch the friendly dolphins.

Great Barrier Island to Poor Knights Islands

Day 5

Surrounded by a subtropical reef, the Poor Knights Islands are a nature and marine reserve, and the waters surrounding them are home to New Zealand's best-known dive locations. The 11 million year old islands' volcanic origins provide a myriad of spectacular drop offs, walls, caves, arches and tunnels.

Poor Knights Islands to Bay of Islands

Day 6

The Bay of Islands is a subtropical maritime park. Dotted with 144 islands, it is also New Zealand's yachting centre, home of the NZ Millennium Cup Regatta, and an idyllic spot for water sports and big game fishing. Divers in the party will find the fun extends even deeper. On shore, the Waitangi Treaty Grounds offer an engaging insight into the history of the Maori and the story of how New Zealand became such a united nation.
