With over fifteen years of experience in the superyacht industry and an extensive network spanning the Americas and beyond, Ernesto is known for building lasting relationships and delivering exceptional results for an international clientele.

Background

Born in Miami and raised between the United States and Colombia, Ernesto developed a lifelong passion for the water through waterskiing, scuba diving, sport fishing, and boating with family and friends. This early connection to the marine world naturally inspired a career in luxury yachting.

He graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in International Finance and Marketing, alongside a minor in Entrepreneurship, before completing a dual master's degree in London. His international education and multicultural background have shaped his global perspective and ability to serve clients across diverse markets.

Experience

Ernesto began his career as a licensed yacht broker while still at university, representing prestigious yacht brands throughout the Americas for a boutique brokerage firm. He later joined Allied Marine, a Ferretti Group company, where he advised high-net-worth clients on the acquisition and sale of multi-million-dollar yachts, attended more than 40 international boat shows, and developed strong relationships with leading shipyards worldwide.

He subsequently joined Ferretti Group of America, supporting the dealer network across the Americas before becoming Brand Manager for Custom Line and CRN. Specialising in superyachts over 30 metres, he worked closely with clients, dealers, and shipyards on highly customised yacht projects, gaining valuable expertise in both brokerage and new build.

Today, Ernesto brings this comprehensive industry knowledge to Camper & Nicholsons, where he represents clients throughout the Americas. His combined experience across brokerage, shipyard relations, and brand management enables him to provide informed advice and a seamless, personalised service for every client.
