By the close of the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show, LOEWE had emerged as one of the standout debuts. Showgoers slowed as they passed her stern, creating a bottleneck on the dock, drawn in by the music carrying over the quay and light flickering from the deck.
LOEWE is the second of two T55 Sportivas launched in quick succession by Tankoa, each taking the same platform in a different direction. Where her sis-tership introduced the series, LOEWE gave it its more extroverted edge.
Tankoa's Sportiva line marked a departure from the yard's more classical profile. The shipyard had been known for yachts with taller, more upright lines, and the T55 brief called for something more athletic. "We wanted a 55-metre yacht with an evolved design that plays boldly with volumes, hull structures, and exterior lines," says designer Luca Dini.
LOEWE tests the upper limits of what can be achieved below 500GT. At 499GT and 55 metres, she uses length rather than bulk. Much of that length comes from an extended aft deck, where the stern drops through a sequence of terraces to connect the main deck, pool terrace and beach club in more than 100 square metres of outdoor space. At the request of the owner, a DJ console was added to the main deck; below, the nine-square-metre pool has a moveable floor that rises flush with the surrounding teak to create a dance floor, with the yacht's nameplate backlit by colour-changing LEDs.

There is a clue in her name. Borrowed from the German electronics house known for high-end tele-visions, immersive sound and design-led technology, LOEWE carries that connection deep into the yacht's technical specification. The owner wanted far more than background music, so the AV package was part of the brief from the outset, with plug-in points for live music, subwoofer connections and immersive audio that allows the yacht to switch into party mode when the occasion calls for it.
The connection is most visible in the upper salon, where a floor-standing Loewe Iconic Inspire television is treated as a piece of design in its own right, rather than concealed within a bulkhead.

"THE STARTING POINT WAS A DESIRE TO CREATE A VESSEL THAT BLENDS AUTOMOTIVE STYLING WITH AN INFORMAL WAY OF LIVING ON BOARD."

Inside, the yacht takes a more minimalist line, lifted by a silvered, rippled deckhead treatment that serves as a visual signature. Seen in the main salon and carried throughout the yacht, it catches daylight from the full-height windows that run the length of the space. The Loewe cues continue in the finer details. "We established a direct material connection to the Loewe universe by using silver metals for finishes and technical fabrics that evoke the brand's iconic hi-tech speakers."
Accommodation is arranged for 12 guests across six cabins, with five guest cabins on the lower deck, the owner's suite forward on the main deck, and a guest elevator.
"Because the yacht is also intended for charter, the brief required a reworking of the layout, particularly on the lower deck, with flexible cabin configurations to meet the needs of diverse international guests," says Dini.

For all the music and movement aft, LOEWE still leaves space to slip away. In the owner's suite, sliding doors open to a fixed terrace, where part of the side deck has been sectioned off for private use with a lounge and spa pool. The beach club has a surprise of its own. From the deck, double glass doors open into a wellness centre with a gym, sauna and hammam. A drop-down terrace brings the water close, while a large window straddles the waterline, forming what the team calls the Nemo Room. "It creates an incredible underwater viewing room to explore the subsea world, something that would have been impossible to build ten years ago," says Dini.
LOEWE may answer an exacting owner's brief, but her genius lies in the way she plays host, carrying an extraordinary concentration of features with enter-tainment hardwired into her bones.
