Calling at the iconic ports and anchorages of the Cote d'Azur and Amalfi coast

Not only a journey from France to Italy, but one through the ages of history, taking in the historical architecture adorning the coastline and the modern-day delights of luxury restaurants and designer stores

CANNES
DAY 1

Embark in Cannes and cruise towards Sainte Marguerite island, the largest of the Lerins islands. The best way to explore this island is to follow the marked trails that take you on a botanical and historical journey. You will stroll by the Batéguier pond with its numerous species of migratory birds and to the Point de la Convention.
Continue on to the Fort Royal, the former residence of the ‘Man in the Iron Mask’. The Maritime Museum is another attraction not to be missed; sheltered within a fortified enclosure, it offers visitors an insight into the area' s history.
Head to peaceful Saint Honorat to visit the island' s monastery.
For 16 centuries, the monastery has been home to the Cistercian Congregation of the Immaculate Conception. Today, the community is comprised of 25 monks living modestly and peacefully in this unspoilt sun-kissed paradise, an oasis of silence.
Cruise along the beautiful French Riviera to reach the stunning bay of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.

CINQUE TERRE AND PORTOVENERE
DAY 4

The Cinque Terre are one of the most preserved areas in the Mediterranean sea and are a protected
Unesco World Heritage Site since 1997. Riomaggiore, Corniglia, Manarola, Vernazza and Monterosso
are the five villages that form the Cinque Terre, suspended between the sea and the land on sheer cliffs that offer dramatic drops to the sparkling waters below.
Five miles of rocky coast among two promontories, thousands of kilometres of dry laid stone walls, five small towns castled up on stone spurs in minuscule creeks.
Walking along the coastal footpaths offers striking views of lush Mediterranean vineyards and wild flowers abloom, while further inland you can walk through tantalizing pine and chestnut forests.
Further south, Portovenere is another beautiful fishing village, well worth a visit.
