About AQUA NERA
From her base in Iquitos in northeastern Peru, the 62m Aqua Nera sets sail on a course of romance and mystery along the world’s largest river while raising the bar in luxury expedition cruising.
The sistership to the Aria Mekong, every aspect of this once-in-a-lifetime experience has been inspired by her natural surroundings while designed to leave a minimal impact.
Her stylish and contemporary interior, the work of the award-winning Noor architectural agency, brings the peacefulness of the Amazon with just a hint of jungle drama on board.
Her 20 suites, each 30 square metres in size, can accommodate a total of 40 guests and include full floor-to-ceiling windows that make the revolving Amazonian panorama a permanent fixture. Each of them also has en suite bathroom, completed with dual sink, walk-in shower and an overhead rain shower. Her versatile arrangement means eight of the suites can be combined into interconnecting cabins, capable of sleeping up to six guests.
Her indoor lounge and bar area are natural meeting places for guests to share tales of the day’s magical discoveries. In the vessel’s dining saloon, guests can enjoy an onboard menu of refined Peruvian cuisine, exploding with native Amazonian flavours, such as aji negro and indigenous paiche fish.
The private screening room, library, games room, gym, spa suite and infirmary with onboard medical staff are amongst her other stand-out features.
Aqua Nera’s expert naturalist guides lead daily shore excursions into the depths of the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve with custom-made low-emission speedboats. Other activities include kayaking and swimming in the calm, untouched waters of the Amazon, while all-terrain bicycles allow guests to experience daily life in riverside communities at their own pace.
The yacht has been designed with a selection of exterior vantage points, including twin observation decks at both the bow and the stern of the vessel. An outdoor lounge and bar area are the perfect spot to enjoy Amazon’s legendary sunsets. The Amazon panorama can also be admired from her shaded Jacuzzi plunge pool.
With a dedicated 1:1 crew ratio and an all-inclusive rate with tax paid, Aqua Nera is a pioneering expedition river vessel, delivering immersive adventure with all modern luxuries weaved in.
