Porto Rotondo to Nice

7 days Luxury Yacht Charter Experience

Beginning in Porto Rotondo, cruise around Corsica visiting many traditional harbours

The French island of Corsica lends itself perfectly to a week-long sailing holiday.  Starting in Porto Rotondo on Sardinia’s northern coast, cruise around Corsica’s southern tip, progressing along the western coast and continuing north towards Nice and mainland France

Embark in Porto Rotondo, Sardinia. Porto Rotondo is often referred to as Porto Cervo’s little sister due to the fact that it is a little smaller and quieter. This resort town is so called due to the circular bay in which it is located.
Perhaps step ashore for a cup of coffee in the town' s Piazzetta San Marco before doing a little shopping. Later cruise north towards the Corsican coast, stopping at the picturesque Cavallo island located in the magical Maddalena islands.
Enjoy your lunch onboard or head ashore to the Restaurant des Pêcheurs.
An onward cruise north will take you to Santa Giulia where there is a spectacular bay and a beautiful, large lagoon with unbelievably turquoise water and pearl-white soft sands.

Porto Rotondo to Nice - PORTO VECCHIO - Luxury Charter Itinerary | C&N

Head to the famous bay of Palombaggia, south of Porto Vecchio in Corsica. This beach was awarded the accolade as one of the finest in the world by UNESCO and it is clear to see why with its stunning scenery made up of red iron rocks set against white sand, backed with green pine trees.
Shamelessly seductive, fashionably alluring, Porto-Vecchio has been dubbed the Corsican St-Tropez.
The old town’s picturesque backstreets, lined with restaurants and designer shops, have charm in spades, and are presided over by the ruined vestiges of an old Genoese citadel.
Choose between dining onboard or if the mood takes you why not tender ashore and visit the Hotel Cala Rossa, a Relais & Chateaux property which has a lovely location on the water’s edge.

Porto Rotondo to Nice - BONIFACIO - Luxury Charter Itinerary | C&N

Bonifacio is a well-preserved fortified town which dates back to the 9th century.
Cantilevered out of eroded limestone, the original houses of the old town sit on white and caramel rock shelves precariously overlooking the café-lined harbour below.
A popular tourist attraction in town is the Saint-Dominique church dating back to the 12th-13th centuries. This Gothic church has an impressive 15th-century tower which contains some interesting wooden carved figures. The stunning walk along the cliffs to the Pertusatu lighthouse also comes highly recommended.
Overnight in port.

Your final stop in Corsica will be Saleccia beach, a half-mile strand of dazzling white sand, channelling gently into turquoise sea. The remote and relative inaccessibility mean the beach remains mercifully unspoilt.
This is the place to enjoy the yacht, swimming, sunbathing and getting on the water toys - this last day is all about relaxing!
Overnight cruise towards the South of France.
