From mainland France to the French island of Corsica and Italian Sardinia

French style, Italian culture and the most turquoise seas one can imagine. This seven day itinerary along the western coast of Corsica, visiting Sardinia’s famous Costa Smeralda, is a culinary adventure complemented by designer stores and beautiful beaches.

LERINS ISLANDS

Day 1

Embark in Cannes and cruise towards the peaceful Lerins islands, where you can enjoy lunch at anchor.

Situated in an unspoilt and natural setting, this small archipelago offers a unique combination of flora and fauna. Sainte Marguerite is the biggest of the islands and hosts the medieval castle Fort Royal, where the jail from the ‘Man in the Iron Mask’ is located. The best way to explore is to follow the marked trails that take you on a botanical and historical tour of the area.

On the island of Saint Honorat the fortifications of its ancient 11th century monastery can be admired. Today, the community comprises 25 monks, living modestly and peacefully in this unspoilt sun-kissed paradise

CALVIA TO LA GIROLATA

Day 2

Explore the beautiful medieval town of Calvi, which is topped by a citadel.

Lunch will be served onboard while cruising towards the scenic Girolata gulf.

With turquoise waters and an appealing bay, the houses here cling to the steepest or mountain slopes and its surrounding mountains make for a dramatic backdrop. This is an ideal place to

relax, swim and enjoy watersports. Girolata is one of Corsica’s emblematic destinations and is often pictured on the cover of Corsican guide books.

Dinner can be taken onboard or head to Bel Ombra in Girolata village.

The night will be spent at anchor in the bay.

GULF OF PORTO AND PROPRIANO

Day 3

Morning cruise toward the amazing Gulf of Porto.

With its coastline bordered by red granite cliffs that plunge into a sea of intense blue, the Gulf of Porto is well deserving of its classification by UNESCO as a “world heritage site”. It is a wonderful display of nature at its finest.

Discover hidden caves and small creeks by tender.

In the evening, cruise toward the coastal village of Propriano which is sheltered within the Gulf of Valinco, and best known for the sandy beaches nearby.

BONIFACIO

Day 4

A cruise further south along Corsica’s western coast will lead you to Bonifacio.

Set in a picturesque location on a limestone cliff and surrounded by its ancient walls, Bonifacio is a well-preserved fortified town that dates back to the 9th century and offers fantastic views.

Take the tender to explore the surrounding unspoilt white-sandy coves.

When you’ve worked up an appetite, our restaurant recommendations include the Genovese Hotel, U Capu Bianco, Caravelle and Le Voilier.

PORTO VECCHIO

Day 5

Cruise towards Porto Vecchio, which is known for its fine outlying beaches. Spectacular stretches of shoreline lie to the south, with Palombaggia the most popular and Golfe de Santa Giulia coming a close second, with its spectacular lagoon-type beach and unbelievably turquoise water and pearl-white soft sands.

There are some fantastic local establishments for lunch or dinner. We suggest Cala Rossa - a Relais & Chateaux property with an array of restaurant options and an imposing location at the water’s edge, Casa del Mare, Don Cesar, Le Belvedere or U Santa Marina.

CALA DI VOLPE AND PORTO ROTONDO

Day 7

A morning cruise to the beautiful sandy cove of Cala di Volpe will greet you with a spectacular stretch of coastline, where the lush green vegetation, turquoise sea and sandy beaches combine to create a Mediterranean paradise.

Its crowning feature is the spectacular five-star Hotel Cala di Volpe which is situated at the end of the bay, and was designed by Jacques Couelle.

In the evening, the yacht will move on to Porto Rotondo and here you’ll spend the night at anchor or in the harbour.

OLBIA

Day 8

Drop the anchor in a nice nearby bay for breakfast and watersports before heading to Olbia for disembarkation.
