Alaska - Juneau to Juneau - 7 days

7 days Luxury Yacht Charter Experience

The Last Frontier… What you are about to see over the next seven days will take your breath away in an awe-inspiring magnitude of wildlife, wilderness and glaciers, indistinguishable in comparison to anything you’ve ever seen in your life.

JUNEAU
Day 1

Juneau is located in the heart of the Tongass National Forest.
The cosmopolitan city is Alaska’s capital and the state’s third largest city.
While in town, ride the tram up Mount Roberts for an eagle’s eye view of the city and make the most of the long daylight hours with a scenic helicopter flight to the Mendenhall Glacier.
Here you can visit a race training camp for huskies and take a dog-sled ride across the vast glacier.

PYBUS BAY
Day 2

With experienced guides and boat rental from Pybus Point Lodge, you can fish for salmon and halibut here. The cost of four hours’ boat rental (six person capacity) and a guide is usually around $900.
If fishing’s not your thing, why not explore the shoreline by tender and keep an eye out for bears or kayak through between the little coves.
Pybus Point Lodge is located at the southern edge of Admiralty Island National Monument – a stunning
landscape of cold, mirror-smooth water, thick Alaskan forest, waterfalls, and islands within Southeast Alaska’s famous Inside Passage.
A seaplane can also be chartered here if you’d like an aerial view.

Alaska - Juneau to Juneau - 7 days - BARANOF FALLS - Luxury Charter Itinerary | C&N
BARANOF FALLS
Day 3

Hike up to Baranof Lake or choose to simply sit in the hot springs above Baranof falls.
Baranof Warm Springs, often referred to simply as Baranof, is located on Warm Springs Bay.
Just off of Chatham Strait, about a half mile up from the settlement, is the outlet of Baranof Lake - a large glacially fed freshwater lake surrounded by spruce and hemlock forest with 3000-foot-high mountains flanking either side.

RED BLUFF BAY
Day 4

Red Bluff Bay is home to a spectacular waterfall, much wildlife and some great areas for kayaking. Explore Takatz Bay and enjoy the scenery during the first part of the day.  It’s just a short hop down to
Red Bluff to anchor for the evening.
This inlet is a great spot to set pots for fresh Dungeness Crab And Shrimp (which the Chef will thank you for!).
The sides of this canyon are steep and gorgeous, with many smaller waterfalls bringing melted snow down to the sea.
This is also a good place to be on the lookout for bears fishing for salmon.

EAST AND WEST BROTHER’S ISLAND & FREDERICK SOUND
Day 5

The densest population of humpback whales is found here and Frederick Sound is one of the best places in the world to observe them.
About 1,000 of the estimated 6,000 humpback North Pacific whales feed in Southeast Alaska in the summer and, of those, about 500 will enter the Frederick Sound. They are drawn to the abundant herring and krill that thrive here.
The Five Finger Islands Lighthouse is another attraction at Frederick Sound.
Completed in 1902, the lighthouse sits on a small island between Stephen’s Passage and Frederick

Sound.

FORD’S TERROR
Day 6

When the tides are just right, you can enter the fjord of Ford’s Terror via a narrow and twisting passageway, which has high granite mountains cliffs on either side.
Ford’s Terror gained its name in 1889, after a sailor from Patterson, who entered the ravine at slack tide, was then caught in the flood current for six hours before tides turned in his favor and he was able to row his way back out.

TRACY’S ARM
Day 7

Tracy’s Arm is a fjord 23-miles long, which leads to large icebergs, waterfalls and the North Sawyer Glacier. Some of the waterfalls here are well over 100ft high.
Weave your way through the icebergs by tender and cruise beneath 4000-foot-high cliffs carved by the movements of ancient ice.
The South Sawyer Glacier is busy with seal colonies, and their calving young are one of the most sought-after sights in the area.
Anchor for the evening in the vicinity of Holkham Bay.
