Greek Islands yacht charter (Cyclades)

Secluded beaches and charming villages make Sifnos an unmissable stop on your luxury yacht charter through the Cyclades. Think hilly pastures, pearlescent, white-washed villas, and jaw-dropping views of the Aegean. You have your choice of three main locations for your overnight stay: choose Kamares, the main port, and her family-friendly beach; casual and under-the-rader Vathy Bay; or the mesmerising Platys Gyalos Bay, widely regarded as having one of the most beautiful beaches in the Cyclades.

Known for her impressive natural rock formations and moon-like Sarakiniko beach, a visit to Milos is a must. You'll find many places to explore, like the famous Papafragas beach with her open cave-like structures, as well as the colourful and utterly picturesque traditional fishing villages of Fyrop?tamos and Mandrakia.

But before stepping foot on Milos, you'll cruise by the Polyegos, a rugged, uninhabited isle popular for the intense colour and clarity of her surrounding waters. You'll also stop by Kimolos, one of the most primitive Aegean islands, with her tiny, quiet fishing villages and the white sand Prassa beach.

The main attractions of Ios are her many sandy beaches, many of which are completely isolated: Maganari, Tris Klissies, Pikri Nero, and Mylopotas are a few of her better known spots. Visit her capital city—on of the most vibrant in the Cyclades—ideal for clubbing, shopping, and with some excellent dining options. Stay overnight in Ios' port with her pretty tavernas and cafes by the sea.

A luxury yacht charter to the Cyclades isn't complete without a stop in Mykonos, but on your way, we recommend a stop by Paros, a truly ancient city and one of the centres of the Cycladic civilisation. One of the oldest continually-inhabited cities in Europe, Parikia, the island's capital, was once a great naval power, and is typical of the region.

Then, hit Mykonos, the famous cosmopolitan island nicknamed 'the Island of the Winds,' due to strong winds that occasionally blow along her coast. Known for her vibrant nightlife, she is nonetheless a small Greek village, filled with cosy, chic tavernas and white-washed churches. The capital, Hora, has a colourful little harbour with little fishing boats nestled side-by-side with luxury superyachts, and makes for quite a different picture from the majority of Aegean island towns. 

Also known as Tzia, Kea is all olive groves, vineyards, hiking trails, and off-the-beaten-track beaches. With the largest oak forest in the Cyclades, bird-watchers will delight in the species to be found here. 

In the centre of the island is the site of an ancient city-state and the current capital, Ioulis, an incredibly picturesque village with ceramic-tiled roofs, cobbled streets, arched passageways, and central squares.

The true gem of the Saronic Gulf, Hydra is a unique island where all motor vehicles are prohibited. All transport is on foot, by boat—or via donkey. Exquisitely preserved stone architecture sits alongside her more modern white-washed buildings, where rural paths criss-cross and deep, clear waters make for a quieter, more simple life. Sit with a frothy cuppaccino in her people-watching harbour before exploring her rocky beaches with a wild, untamed beauty.

Prior to stopping by the mythical isle of Aegina, visit Poros, a beautiful green island in the Saronic Gulf. Visit her famous lemon forest, the ruins of the Sanctuary of Poseidon, and the island's trademark clock tower.

Finally, make your way to Aegina, one of the most popular islands due to her proximity to Athens. According to myth, the island took its name from the nymph daughter of river god Asopos, with whom Zeus fell in love and took with him to the island. Though small, Aegina boast a great number of ancient sites and natural beauty, the highlight of which is the Aphea Temple. It forms the so-called 'holy triangle' of the antiquity alongside the Parthenon and the Temple of Poseidon on Sounion.
