Palma International Boat Show 2023
A well-established refit hub and year-round destination, Palma de Mallorca is popular for its quality service and repair infrastructure and plentiful cruising options. These elements, combined with the vibrant city centre, make the Palma International Boat Show a fitting setting to launch into a busy summer season.
Taking place from 27th to 30th April, the Palma International Boat Show signals the opening of the Mediterranean nautical season. One of the most important yacht shows in the industry’s calendar, the event combines an exciting selection of superyachts with relaxed networking opportunities.
As Arne Ploch, senior sales broker at Camper & Nicholsons, advises, “Palma is the centre for sailing yachts in the Mediterranean and around 50 per cent of the yachts exhibiting at the Palma International Boat Show are sailing yachts. It is the best show to attend if a client is interested in this segment of the market.”
The Palma Superyacht Village, located in the heart of the show, provides a dedicated area to showcase the 24m-plus superyachts available for sale and/or charter. This year, Camper & Nicholsons is proud to have one of the largest fleets at the show, including the 37m Corto Maltese, 33.8m Silvertip, and 32m Idle and 24.28m Fantasea Blue on the sailing yacht market, and the 49.9m AAA, 35.6m Cinquanta-50 and 27.20m Belle Isle on the motor yacht market. The 50m Borkumriff IV will be available for viewings at the STP shipyard.
Representing the sailing yachts at the show will be Maël Fiolet, sales advisor at Camper & Nicholsons. “They are all very different but all present very interesting opportunities for the right buyers,” he advises. “Fantasea Blue is a very well-maintained performance yacht built in carbon, while Corto Martese is a classically styled yacht, built for cruising the remotest areas of the world, in fantastic condition, and with an owner that is very motivated to sell. Idle is on the market for the first time and is in turnkey condition with all the most in-demand features. Its 32m length is optimal for accessing most marinas around the world while avoiding the complex systems found on larger yachts.”
