
About Arne Ploch
Born in Germany, Arne grew up in the mountain resort of Garmisch - Partenkirchen, and moved at the age of 16 to Palma de Mallorca to live on the family owned sailing yacht. Finishing from the International School in Mallorca, Arne studied at the European Business School (EBS) in Madrid and Oestrich-Winkel in Germany, then continued his studies in London where he graduated in European Business Administration. During and following his studies he worked for a major German car manufacturer in market research, and in corporate finance with a Japanese investment bank, before coming back into yachting as a broker with CNI in Palma de Mallorca, back in 1995. A keen sailor himself, he participated in many regattas and ocean races. Arne is as well one of the co-founders of what is now the Palma Superyacht Show and is the current President of the Balearic Yacht Brokers Association that organises the show. Arne speaks German, English and Spanish and has been involved in many sales and purchases, as well as new build projects.
