About Arne Ploch
Born in Germany, Arne grew up in a mountain resort at Garmisch-Partenkirchen and moved to Palma de Mallorca at the age of 16, to live on a family-owned sailing yacht. Arne studied at the European Business School in Madrid and Oestrich-Winkel in Germany and then continued his studies in London, where he graduated in European business administration. During and following his studies, he worked for a major German car manufacturer in market research, as well as finance for a Japanese investment bank, before coming back into yachting as a broker with Camper & Nicholsons in Palma de Mallorca, back in 1995. A keen sailor himself, he participated in many regattas and ocean races. Arne is also one of the co-founders of what is now the Palma Superyacht Show and is the current president of the Balearic Yacht Brokers Association that organises the show. Arne speaks German, English and Spanish and has been involved in many sales and purchases, as well as new build projects.
