CIAO | New to Camper & Nicholsons' sales fleet
Camper & Nicholsons is proud to announce its appointment as the Co-Central Agency for the sale of the 29m Moonen m/y CIAO. It is represented by Senior Sales Broker, Arne Ploch, along with Jeff Partin of OceanStar Marine.
The award-winning 29m motor yacht CIAO (ex. NILO) is a two-deck semi-displacement aluminium yacht by the perfectionists at Dutch shipyard Moonen. First launched in 2007, and having undergone major refits in 2018/9 and 2020/21, she is in turnkey condition, kept in a pristine state thanks to a detail-oriented owner and a meticulous crew. Her sale represents an excellent opportunity to acquire an acclaimed vessel designed by Réné Van Der Velden.
CIAO has a beam of 6.8m and a draft of 1.8m, allowing her to berth in the most shallow of ports and marinas, and making her particularly well suited to island hopping. And with her elegant exterior lines—constructed in lightweight alloy Sealium, and recently repainted a sleek oyster white—she cuts a fine figure whether at berth or sea, particularly with her inlaid teak decking.
It's important to note that she was the first in Moonen’s Fast Series of Yacht Alu 94 model, custom-built for the shipyard’s owner, who wanted speed without sacrificing comfort, and a range extending beyond the shores of the Mediterranean. Consequently, she can reach a top speed of 18/22 knots with a range of 2,000 nautical miles at her cruising speed of 10 knots. For her pioneering design, she won the prestigious Trophée de l’Inovation for custom yachts under 40m at the 2007 World Yachts Trophies.
Her interior details were designed by Art-Line Interiors, another award-winning design studio based out of the Netherlands. She features warm silk-sprayed wood combined with sunny upholstery—it’s always summer aboard CIAO! Other fine finishes include cream marble, teak and holly flooring, and painted details throughout.
She can comfortably accommodate eight guests across one full-beam master suite, one VIP suite, and two guest cabins, as well as four crew across two cabins. She comes with an AB17 DLX RIB with 115HP Yamaha outboard, an 11’ GT Marine crew tender with 20HP Tohatsu outboard, and a Bauer Junior II diving compressor.
"She's a solid, Dutch-built little ship that, thanks to her lightweight construction, can reach up to 22 knots—impressive for her type and class," says Arne. "She's ready for a new owner to enjoy the summer!"
