About SEQUOIA

Sequoia is an intimate, cosy, safe, and state-of-the-art vessel sailing through the stunning waters of Indonesia. Her Owner dedicated four years to overseeing her bespoke build, resulting in a 30-metre, hand-crafted wooden schooner designed to explore the 18,000-island archipelago.

Blending timeless craftsmanship with modern marine technology, Sequoia has safety and ecological consciousness at the core of her design. Sequoia is equipped with low-consumption systems and advanced sanitation to minimise her carbon footprint, and silent running under sail is enabled by cutting-edge materials. Single-use plastics are no longer used onboard for an eco-friendly cruising experience.

Sequoia guides guests through Indonesia’s Coral Triangle, a region brimming with life, beauty, and wonder. Each Sequoia Safari embodies the art of living, offering warmth, intimacy, and a spirit of connection.

Sequoia offers generous social and lounging spaces. “The Great Room” on main deck is designed with guests in mind. This spacious open-air salon is surrounded by 20 handcrafted teak-louvered doors, offering an inviting and elegant atmosphere. At its heart lies a luxurious teak dining table, the perfect gathering spot for family and friends.

A standout feature is the unique beverage centre, where fresh tropical juices, cocktails, and guests’ favourite drinks are expertly crafted. Enhanced by a brilliant Awlwood custom finish, the natural beauty of the teak comes to life, making this space both stunning and unforgettable.

Sequoia’s unique accommodations include three luxurious cabins, each featuring Marshall Bluetooth speakers and beautiful en suite bathrooms. The modern yet timeless master suite "Sky Suite", located on the sky deck, boasts an elegant teak and woven rattan king-size bed and is connected to a library room used as on open-air office.

The two guest cabins, the “Island Suite” and “Ocean Suite,” can be configured as either twin or double arrangements and showcase intricate handcrafted details throughout.

The sky deck, a 10 x 7-metre platform refitted in 2022, provides 270-degree elevated views of pristine oceans and stunning skies from sunrise to sunset. Whether savouring meals and drinks at the spacious central table or unwinding on one of the two perennials-cushioned sunpads, this space is designed for ultimate relaxation and comfort.

By night, it transforms into a magical venue for dining under the stars, with breathtaking views of the midnight blue sky.

Sequoia’s cruising grounds in West Papua, the Moluccas, and the Lesser Sunda Islands encompass the most biodiverse seas on Earth. These waters are home to approximately 1,000 species of fish and 500 species of coral. Whale sharks are a frequent sight, while manta rays make daily appearances. As a certified PADI dive centre, Sequoia offers unparalleled access to three of the world’s top dive sites within sailing distance.

Sequoia’s crew of 12 brings intimate knowledge of the region’s islands, dive sites, and hidden treasures. The crew includes a cruise manager, a butler, and a dive instructor, ensuring personalized and unforgettable service. Children are warmly welcomed with a treasure chest of toys and games, as well as smaller paddleboards and kayaks for their enjoyment.

Sequoia’s chefs excel at sourcing fresh, local ingredients to create à la carte menus tailored to guests’ tastes. Signature dishes include Balinese Grilled Lobster, Javanese Wagyu Fillet Mignon, and decadent Lava Cake. All dietary preferences are accommodated, and the well-stocked wine cellar features vintages from Napa Valley and Bordeaux.
