About Alex Garro

Alex spent his young life on the water. If he was not sailing dinghies, he was surfing or snorkelling.

He started his professional career in sales working for several major companies in Spain, and after 14 years, he decided to take a break and follow his passion for sailing. After completing his yacht masters in England, he started delivering yachts and then working as a crew on larger yachts. He spent two years on busy charter yachts and then decided to settle in the South of France where he has been based at since 2004.

Prior to joining Camper & Nicholsons, he jointly managed a small charter management company with his partner for over six years. Alex joined our charter marketing division as charter manager in 2011. Then in February 2019, Alex moved into the yacht management division as a Fleet Manager previously to his current role as Head of Operations Management.

Alex is passionate about any sports on or under the water.
