SOLD: 33.83m FPB 97 Iceberg
Camper & Nicholsons is thrilled to announce the sale of the FPB 97 Iceberg, with Sales Broker Andrew LeBuhn representing the buyer. Steve Reoch from All Ocean and Sue Grant from Berthon International represented the seller in a joint CA.
This outstanding ocean cruiser was built by New Zealand-based Circa Marine, and was one of the most unusual yachts on the market. This proven expedition yacht, launched in 2014, has completed several trans Atlantic and trans-Pacific passages. She was designed to be handled by a small crew—as few as two sailors—and with minimal maintenance required.
Both her interior and exterior were designed by Steve Dashew of Dashew Offshore, and she is the largest in the FPB fleet. Her sharp, angular design and unpainted hull give her a militaristic feel, but her rugged exterior belies a luxurious interior. Elegant and comfortable, Iceberg features a full-beam master suite with office space, dressing room, and ensuite, as well as three additional guest staterooms, including one VIP, and one triple berth to starboard. Her saloon, dubbed the Great Room, enjoys 360- degree unhindered views and a stately, handcrafted eight-seat dining table carved from an ancient Kauri tree—a New Zealand native and over 3,000 years old.
Her exterior spaces aft feature another eight-seater table, bimini, barbecue, and a large swim platform provides easy access for watersports. Forward of the deckhouse, a spacious lounging trampoline and sunshade complete the breezy outdoor set-up.
Powered by two John Deere diesel engines of 500 horsepower, she has a maximum speed of 15 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots, and an approximate range of 5,000 nautical miles. With a draft of just one-and-a-half metres, she's capable of navigating any location. And, having already visited 16 different countries and covered nearly 56,000 nautical miles, this exceptionally seaworthy vessel is perfect for the adventurous and intrepid.
Camper & Nicholsons wish to extend a heartfelt congratulations to the new owner for their adventures ahead.
