Camper & Nicholsons present at London’s Superyacht Investor Conference

At the recent Superyacht Investor conference in London, Paolo Casani, CEO of Camper & Nicholsons, gave an insightful presentation on the new build market.
This is an industry sector that the leading team at C&N are heavily involved with, playing an important part in the construction of some of the world’s most notable superyachts.

Mr. Casani was delighted to be one of the 74 senior executives and industry figureheads presenting at The Superyacht Investor conference, which is now in its 10th year. The event took place from 4th to 6th February 2020 at the Landmark, London. As one of the leading conferences for connecting and informing the dealmakers of the superyacht industry, it was important for C&N to be represented at such a high level. Paolo presented to an audience of shipyard directors, financiers, brokers, advisers, management companies, designers, insurers, lawyers, appraisers and other leading industry professionals.

On day one, Paolo was joined by three other speakers in a moderated panel discussion on the topic ‘Being different: Managing unique new build projects’, and the discussion centred around how the different parties involved with a new build are managed, and their relationship with the client/buyer.
They went on to discuss intellectual property rights and who is liable should things go wrong during a
build.
Paolo outlined C&N’s new build process, highlighted market trends for new build sales over the last few years, as well as giving a regional breakdown of new builds currently on the market.
