E&E awarded \"La Belle Classe Explorer Award\"
Built in 2011, she was designed to minimise fuel consumption using just 130 litres/hour at 11 knots, compared to similar yachts consuming 500 litres. Plastic usage is banned on board and only biodegradable products are used to clean the boat. Wherever E&E sails, the crew pick up litter whether it be on the sea or on the beaches.
The yacht won "La Belle Classe Explorer Award" by the Yacht Club de Monaco for Adventure/ Ethics / Conduct / Environment, judged on 28 March, 2019 by an independent global jury chaired by Richard Wiese, President of The Explorers Club in New York, the president of Musée océanographique de Monaco and other distinguished members.
