Atlantic is a replica of one the world’s greatest sailing yachts. Atlantic measures 62m in length and this 2010 reimagination of the 1903 original is a true declaration of sailing style.
The original vessel was commissioned by Wilson Marshall, a notable New York Yacht Club member, and was designed by William Gardner; one of America’s foremost yacht designers. The plans of the 1903 Atlantic were scrutinized over a three year period, with extensive technical and historical research conducted in order to enable this extremely accurate and authentic re-creation to be built.
Atlantic’s predecessor won the 1905 Kaiser’s Cup and set the world record for a transatlantic crossing, completing the passage in 12 days and four hours.
Atlantic’s classically-styled exterior lines match her traditional and timeless interior. Created by Gardner & Cox USA and Doug Peterson, and whilst remaining sympathetic to a timeless charm, the yacht has all the amenities of modern life with integrated technology and audiovisual systems. Atlantic is panelled throughout in mahogany wood, with upholstery in a deep tone of red and decor in more neutral tones.
Atlantic is able to accommodate up to 12 guests in six cabins; three doubles and three twins, all of which are ensuite. Guests aboard Atlantic are attended to by a capable crew of 12, providing a fantastic crew to guest ratio.
The main saloon lounge also houses an interior dining area, but meals are often served al fresco, with Atlantic offering vast deck spaces.
Atlantic is sure to inspire charterers both young and old with her graceful sailing ability and traditional design values. This elegant schooner-rigged sailing yacht will turn far more heads in port than her modern-day counterparts!
