Luxury superyacht charter in Antarctica
Day 1
King George Island
Fly from Punta Arenas to the airstrip at Frei Station on King George Island, the main island of the South Shetland Islands. Once safely aboard OCTOPUS, sail to the Bransfield Strait and south along the Antarctic Peninsula, passing icebergs and penguins along the way.

Day 2
Gerlache Strait
Adventure begins with breakfast onboard over a mandatory IAAO briefing, which will outline the environmental responsibilities you have as a visitor in Antarctica.
Set off into the Gerlache Strait, where sightings of humpback whales are the norm. In the afternoon, drop anchor at Orne Harbour and head ashore onto the mainland. Hike up to an impressive viewpoint overlooking the bay before cruising to Port Lockroy via Neumayer Channel.

Day 3
Port Lockroy
This morning, the team from Point Lockroy will join us aboard for breakfast and an introductory briefing on behalf of the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust. Four fascinating women live here for four months of the year, without running water and with only solar electricity. Go ashore to the Port Lockroy museum and postal office - the UK's most southern branch - where you can send a postcard home.
In the afternoon, listen to wildlife presentations from your expedition guide or make your way to Jougla Point on Wiencke Island, where you'll find Gentoo penguins and, if you're lucky, their fluffy chicks.
Once back on board, take the plunge—literally. Plunge into polar waters swiftly followed by champagne in the hot tub. This evening, enjoy a barbecue served on deck followed by after-dinner drinks and perhaps a movie in the cinema.

Day 4
Lemaire Channel
An early morning departure will take us through the Neumayer Channel to Delconcle Bay. Watch leopard, Weddell, and crab seals calving—a totally unique spectacle.
Launch the tender and cruise through brash ice, getting up close and personal to the wildlife; 3-5 metres, to be precise.
Weave through the scenic Lemaire Channel. Nicknamed Kodak Alley, it's a photographer's dream.
Lunch will be served on the aft deck as we cruise down Penola Strait. We will drop anchor and head ashore to Vernadsky Station. Formerly the British Faraday Base, this is now run by the Ukrainian Antarctic programme.

Day 5
Cuverville Island
Start the day looking out for humpback whales in Ardvord Bay, and pods of curious killer whales passing under the bow of the ship. We'll launch the tenders to investigate.
Then, cruise through the Gerlache Strait into the Errera Channel, where we'll launch the tenders once again to reach Cuverville Island, where a large colony of Gentoo penguins reside.
Next stop is Foyn Harbour at Enterprise Island where we'll explore the wreck of the Guvernoren by kayak, searching the coastline for Antarctic fur seals.

Day 6
Deception Island
Just before breakfast, we'll arrive at the entrance of the flooded caldera of Deception Island. The island offers one of the few respites from the Antarctic storms and rollers. Better still, this land of fire is one of the few places in the world where you can sail directly into the crater of a live volcano. Explore the ruins of the whaling factory and scientific station, plus the eerie bones of Whalers Bay. Braver guests can dive into the (marginally) warmer waters heated by hot springs under the beach. Hike up Ronald Hill or wander up to Neptune’s Window overlooking the Bransfield Strait. The ultimate photo opportunity lies even higher at The Nipple, where lava fields gently steam when air pressure is low. On nearby Bailey Head, 100,000 pairs of Chinstrap penguins call the seashore home.

Day 7
Deception Island
Take a morning hike at Telefon Bay in Port Foster, the main bay of Deception Island. Featuring volcanic fumaroles, it is a stark contrast to the icy landscape seen earlier on our trip. We will cruise to Baily Head, home to a very large colony of chinstrap penguins and several Gentoo penguins. Antarctic fur seals, Southern elephant seals, their pups and giant petrels will be scattered along the beaches. After dinner on board, we will reposition to Maxwell Bay at King George Island for the last night aboard.
