Twizzle is an extraordinary, timeless, award winning yacht.  Twizzle was launched by Dutch yard Royal Huisman in 2011 and at this time, the 57.5m superyacht pushed the limits of what was considered possible for a sailing yacht, blending a focus on technology with beautiful design. Dubois Naval Architects were tasked with designing the custom yacht with a 3.8m minimum draft, so she can tuck into shallow anchorages around the world – her daggerboard extends to 10m when underway at full pace.

There are sailing superyachts that are built to cross oceans and those that are designed to win races. And then there is sailing yacht Twizzle, the world-roaming family cruiser that can also hold her own on a racecourse.

Twizzle is already a proven bluewater cruiser, having completed two circumnavigations. The sleek yacht cuts a gorgeous form on the water, and her interior is equally as commanding. Twizzle has been awarded for her charms many times over. Among her many accolades, she nabbed two ShowBoats Design Awards – for best interior design and best recreational area – and the ISS bestowed upon Twizzle the Best Superyacht Interior Design Award and Best Sailing Yacht Design Award.

Twizzle’s interior by acclaimed design house Redman Whiteley Dixon and Todhunter Earle, is intended to envelop guests in comfort. Every detail is considered to create a welcoming space, from the natural tones and stylish decor to the exacting attention to eye lines, seat levels and proportions. Acid-washed oak plays against chocolate-coloured lacquers, while the bathrooms are ensconced in pale, polished marbles. The addition of cashmere throws, soft leathers, woven linens and hand-painted silks creates an environment of extraordinary luxury set against the contemporary, cool interior.

The relaxed, comfortable interior has plush accommodations and her unique layout for up to eight guests features a vast, full-beam master suite replete with a study and spacious bathroom, two double suites, and one twin with an additional Pullman berth. All of Twizzle’s staterooms have en suite showers and full media suites including Apple TV.

As Twizzle won an award for her recreation areas, it’s no surprise that these spaces shine. Her sheltered aft cockpit and main cockpit run seamlessly into the main salon. This creates a grand indoor-outdoor space where the entire family can lounge around, enjoying amazing vistas of the sea outside, gazing through Twizzle’s vast, wrap-around windows which look to be floating from the coach roof. These windows were a technological achievement as the largest ever produced by Yachtglass at the time of her build.

If a bit more excitement is desired, head up to the flybridge, were the yacht’s racing pedigree is truly felt. The performance cruising ketch was designed to excel at all wind speeds and directions, the sails hoisted in two minutes, and she is a force to be reckoned with on the superyacht racing circuit. Yet even when rounding the buoys at high speeds, Twizzle is incredibly stable and comfortable, and she is nimble and easy to handle when in cruising mode too.

While it’s doubtful you’ll tire of sailing the big boat, if you crave closer-to-the-water action switch over to one of the two Laser Pico sailing dinghies.
