About MALTESE FALCON
Maltese Falcon is a yacht which revolutionised yacht design. Maltese Falcon, an iconic 88m Perini Navi-built sailing superyacht, is an award-winning yacht with a distinctive black and silver superstructure and her three-mast ‘Falcon rig’ stands out in any destination. She is one of the largest sailing yachts in the world.
Delivering all the luxury of the most extravagant motor yachts, Maltese Falcon was launched in 2006 and is still one of the most desirable yachts to charter today. She accommodates up to 12 guests with a complement of 19 crew and is an incredibly popular charter choice thanks to her endless amenities and highly experienced service team.
The list of standout features is impressively long. The master cabin, located on the upper deck, boasts private deck space for sunbathing by day and, at night, this deck can be transformed into an outdoor cinema with one of the largest outdoor screens available. The deck also features an inviting Jacuzzi, perfectly positioned in front of the cinema screen. The remaining guest accommodation comprises five suites; a VIP and four luxurious doubles.
Maltese Falcon was extensively refitted in 2016 and the interior was designed by Ken Freivoch. Boasting a classy combination of industrial chic and high-tech integrations, the finishes feature leather, glass, wood and steel as well as an enviable modern art collection. A stunning circular stairwell links all of the main guest spaces, and the main mast is visible across all levels through incredible glass walkways.
Maltese Falcon’s impressive social spaces include a formal outdoor dining table and sociable circular bar, with this area leading into the expansive main saloon. The interior dining room, for more formal occasions, is extremely elegant and has a Japanese influence to the design. When it comes to entertainment systems, it doesn’t stop at the outdoor cinema. Bang & Olufsen speaker setups are installed throughout, there is a huge office with video conference facilities, plus a card and playroom area on the main deck.
The expansive deck spaces make Maltese Falcon a perfect choice for charterers keen on health and wellbeing, there’s a gym, a spa and a qualified masseuse onboard. Add to that an incredible list of water toys to be enjoyed, such as Laser sailing dinghies, SeaBobs, an inflatable water slide, a jellyfish-proof sea pool, and you’ll find there’s something for everyone.
Maltese Falcon has four tenders serving her, including two 10m Pascoe limousines, an 8.8m Scorpion RIB and a 4.3m Castoldi jet tender.
Innovation is at the heart of Maltese Falcon, but nowhere more so than her ground-breaking Dynarig. Her three carbon masts rotate and feature computer-driven sail deployment with fifteen sails that take her up to 24 knots.
This headturner offers the best of both worlds and it is no surprise that Maltese Falcon has received more than 18 awards since her launch, including being named ‘Finest Superyacht Ever’ by Superyacht World magazine. Her reputation goes before her.
