Osprey is an elegant 34.8m British-built classic benefiting from solid construction and steeped in historical interest. Osprey was a British MOD Ham class minesweeper up until the 1970s, when she was converted into a comfortable gentleman’s yacht with raised pilothouse.
Built in 1953 by Bolson & Son, Osprey was originally completed to spend extended periods at sea. With a sturdy wooden hull Osprey offers economical cruising and an impressive range. Extensive refits spanning five years included upgrades to her engineering, electrics, interior redesign and a full paint. She has since been classically maintained with many interesting original features.
Osprey’s interior features a tastefully decorated salon finished in teak and white deck head along with dining area comfortably seating eight guests. Classic varnished wooden joinery, mahogany and wooden panels add touches of luxury throughout. Osprey accommodates 10 guests in four pleasurable staterooms, including a light and airy full beam master suite with formidable views, well-finished bathroom and private owners study. A further comfortable double stateroom and two twin staterooms complete her sleeping arrangements.
Osprey’s exterior provides pleasing deck space where sheltered al fresco dining and relaxation is possible on her well-appointed sundeck. Osprey’s newly extended swimming platform from 2006 allows easy access to the extensive list of water toys and tenders.
