Luxury Motor Yacht for Sale |
54.65m (180ft) | ISA Yachts | 2014

Quite simply, it was love at first sight when the owner of Forever One glimpsed sketches of a reverse bow yacht with large volumes and striking exterior lines by leading Argentinian naval architect Horacio Bozzo. “(The owner) was adamant that the design should be both unique and reliable,” Camper & Nicholsons Senior Sales Broker Fernando Nicholson told BOAT International not long after the vessel’s 2014 launch. “He wanted a yacht that distinguished herself from the crowd, the right place to spend long, relaxed holidays with his beloved wife … the ‘Forever One’ to whom the yacht is dedicated.”

It is with Bozzo and Nicholson, over lunch at the Monaco Yacht Show, that the Forever One story starts. Nicholson had a vision of a yacht that would challenge traditional customs and offer his clients something both distinct and practical. Of course, lunch overlooking Port Hercules was just the beginning of a concept that would be carefully refined. What was missing was the client.
Once the concept had been presented to an open-minded and experienced yacht owner, the next step was to assemble a world-class team capable of transforming the concept, along with the valuables ideas of the owner, into a bold superyacht with world cruising capabilities. “It’s easy to design a yacht that looks different, but harder to build one that works,” Nicholson said in an interview with Superyacht Owner.

With the personal requests of the owner integrated into Bozzo’s original exterior design, including a blaze of red across the superstructure (a colour that is significant in terms of both his personal and business interests), the owner was able to put his stamp on the interiors and exteriors – all 1074 GT of them. The overarching brief was the time the owner and his wife intended to spend onboard — up to four months at one go. A home away from home, the layout had to reflect their shore-based lifestyle at sea. So quiet nooks for private moments and social spaces for when the couple was entertaining friends — her launch revealed no less than five bars on board.

“He wanted very loungy spaces,” Bozzo told BOAT International. So, in switching up convention, an open-plan dining area with bar, inviting sofas and a games table on the main deck forward occupies the area traditionally reserved for the master cabin. The main saloon, found to the aft end of the same deck, is a similarly versatile space that can easily transform from a place of quiet conversation into a large dancefloor.

On the upper deck aft, the full-beam Owner’s suite becomes a home within a home with large, his-and-hers bathrooms, two walk-in closets, a private office and a lounge that opens onto a private terrace. Three large double guest cabins and a full gym that can be easily be converted into a double cabin complete the sleeping arrangements on the lower deck.

Alessandro Massari, the yacht’s interior designer, described the layout to BOAT International as “Hamptons, American style, reinterpreted in a modern way”. The feel is relaxed, bright and breezy, with lightly-coloured by hardwood complemented by darker-toned flooring and white wood paneling.

When a forward-thinking design meets a forward-thinking owner, smart and innovative features are bound to impress. Large fold-out balconies serve to extend the living areas. On the lower deck, a glass window and discreet hatch let daylight and fresh air stream in, allowing the beach club to be enjoyed even when underway. The reverse bow design also creates larger than standard crew accommodations forward on the lower deck, with a finish that matches the guest areas.

Simply put, for Fernando Nicholson, Forever One “is the most exciting new build project I have worked on”. Now the time has come for the next chapter in her story to be written. She comes to the market for the first time in immaculate condition, an excellent opportunity to acquire a much-loved superyacht ready for immediate cruising with family and friends.
